Ongoing Research

TASO developed a 5 year research strategy (2018 - 2022) with the aim to expand the research function. This is built on the foundation of previous studies carried out in TASO such as the DART trials, PrEP study and many others. While these studies were carried out in partnership with other institutions, TASO was able to contribute to some of the major findings in HIV studies globally as well as influence policy at national level.

Ongoing Research

  1. Inte - Africa Project
  2. SCINE - U Project
  3. Community Engagement in Research

Institutional Review Board

TASO was accredited by the Uganda National Council for Science and Technology to provide technical guidance and support to various researchers in the field of HIV. Outcomes from these researches continue to generate practical knowledge on the response. It has reviewed protocols from students pursuing Bachelors, Masters and PhDs.

Published papers

Over its 33 years of existence, TASO has had a number of papers published by staff, independent researchers or by TASO in collaboration with other partners. These are some of the papers.

Conference Papers

TASO staff have presented during various conferences and these are some of their papers.
