This is a 5 - year transition project implemented by TASO with Ministry of Health and funded by USAID.
USAID Local Partner Health Services - Ankole (USAID LPS) will be implemented in the 12 districts of Buhweju, Bushenyi, Ibanda, Isingiro, Kazo, Kiruhura, Mbarara, Mitooma, Ntungamo, Rubirizi, Rwampara and Sheema covering 124 Public Health Facilities.
It will run for 5 years (2020 - 2025) to increase utilization of best practices in HIV and Tuberculosis (TB) services to targeted populations. The Government of Uganda with support from USAID, working through TASO, hopes to achieve and maintain HIV epidemic control through attainment of 95 -95-95 UNAIDS targets.
The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation -EGPAF /RHITES South West will provide technical assistance for the first two years.
